About DAWN STATES...

    Dawn States is a disabled dance scholar, artist, and choreographer working in the field of integrated dance. Dawn earned an MFA in Dance from Temple University and has studied with integrated dance companies Full Radius Dance, Axis Dance, and Karen Peterson Dance. As a dance artist and teacher, Dawn is most excited about and interested in exploring the intersection of dance and disability. Dawn has created works for the Fringe Festival, Axis Dance Choreo Lab, and Mark DeGarmo Dance. Dawn has taught and led classes with the Temple Institute on Disabilities and as an independent artist. Dawn has been awarded the Rose Vernick Artistic Transformation Award and the Lori Hermelin Bush Seed Fund.
